Looking for that photo of recent books you've read? Just search Mem for "startup book".
Using a combination of image recognition and semantic search, Mem will always help you find what you're looking for, whether you're using exact keywords or just describing the image.
Forgot to give your image a title? Mem will automatically generate a descriptive title for your notes that just have images in them, so you never lose context on what you've saved.
Current capabilities
- When you upload an image (either via drag & drop or via the slash command), Mem can understand the content within the image.
- You can search for notes with images in them by describing the contents of the image.
- Mem supports OCR within images.
- In notes that only contain images, Mem will intelligently generate a title for the note, which you'll see in your All Notes page and your Search results page.
Current limitations
- Chat currently does not have an awareness of your images.
- Like all OCR systems, text extraction might not be exact.
- On the Mem iOS App:
- When searching for an image, it may take up to a minute for the note to appear in search results.
- Auto-titles do not appear.
- The image understanding icon (the ✨ icon) does not appear when uploading an image to a note, although the image's contents are being understood.
- The maximum image upload size is 20MB.
- Mem will not interpret copyrighted material.
- Mem will not interpret images containing inappropriate or explicit content.
